About us We are a not-for-profit community-based organisation providing education and care to children from birth to 12 years of age across Tasmania. Learn more about Lady Gowrie Tasmania : The role We are seeking enthusiastic and caring people who share our values to join our Outside School Hours Care teams across Northern Tasmania : Norwood Mowbray Punchbowl West Launceston Newnham Youngtown In this role you’ll support children aged 5‑12 in a fun safe and nurturing environment. Shifts are available before school, after school and during the holidays in our Vacation Care program offering you genuine flexibility. What we offer A supportive values-driven culture with wellbeing support 15% fee discount for team members children that attend our services Opportunities for ongoing career development training and pathways into part-time permanent roles The role you’ll play Provide care for children with a focus on ensuring health safety and wellbeing Set up & run engaging play and learning environments and activities Build positive and respectful relationships with children families and colleagues Support childrens social emotional and physical development through fun play-based programs About you A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing and alignment with Lady Gowrie Tasmania’s Children First values Experience working or volunteering with children (desirable) A genuine interest in supporting childrens learning and development Hold or be actively working towards a certificate III or Diploma in Early Education and Care or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential) Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (or ability to obtain) Perfect for Students seeking flexible work alongside study Career changer exploring education and care or wanting to build experience in child development Experienced Education & Care professionals looking for a change of pace and experience with school aged children Anyone wanting rewarding work with children in their community Turn your spare hours into a rewarding opportunity.
