Yours roles and responsibilities: Controlling and managing the general operation of the kitchen. Monitoring overall staffing costs and working closely with the Operations Manager to control COG's, including but not limited to conducting and/or supervising the ordering process. Assist with hiring, training, and performance management of kitchen staff. Maintain a positive team culture with a strong pool of talent within your crew. Managing general maintenance of the kitchen and the back of house areas. Preparing and cooking high quality food using locally sourced ingredients. Training team members on food preparation techniques, maintaining quality and whilst ensuring a high level of hygiene and food safety compliance. Enforce company policies, staff policies, and service standards. The Experience You'll Have: Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery, Kitchen Management, Culinary Arts or similar Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role A sound understanding of BOH operations. Ability to supervise operations in a fast-paced environment. Able to build, lead, train, and motivate a team. Passionate hospitality professional. Strong leadership skills and an ability to create and maintain a culture of service excellence. A sound understanding of the costs involved with the management of a successful business.
