About MASTEC MASTEC is Australia’s largest manufacturer of mobile garbage and recycling containers (MGBs), proudly leading the industry in the design, development, manufacture, assembly, and distribution of MGBs and Kitchen Organic (KO) bins across Australia and New Zealand. With recent expansion, we are now seeking to strengthen our Operations team at our Edinburgh site. Our end‑to‑end capabilities—from 2‑wheel and 4‑wheel MGBs to Kitchen Organics bins and full Assembly & Distribution services—enable us to meet the unique needs of councils and customers nationwide. The MASTEC brand is synonymous with quality, durability, and innovative design. The Role: Operations Manager, Edinburgh, SA Reporting directly to the Director of Operations based at our Adelaide Head Office, the Operations Manager will lead all aspects of the Edinburgh branch’s daily operations. This hands‑on leadership role is responsible for managing staff, overseeing warehousing and logistics, ensuring excellent customer service, and coordinating deliveries using our fleet of company vehicles. It also involves supporting administrative processes, customer engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and support staff across warehousing, delivery, and safety functions. Drive a high‑performance, customer‑first culture focused on meeting service and quality standards. Plan and allocate labour to meet warehouse operations and daily delivery commitments. Manage and communicate daily operational plans to ensure clarity and accountability. Oversee maintenance and repair schedules for vehicles and ensure roadworthiness. Implement preventative maintenance programs for all plant and equipment. Ensure accurate inventory control and conduct regular stocktakes. Collaborate with the Customer Service team on sales support and quoting activities. Represent and promote the MASTEC brand, including identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. Ensure strict compliance with WHS policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Bring Strong operational background with experience in warehousing, logistics, and customer service. Proven people management skills and the ability to lead by example. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Prior experience in transport and warehouse operations. Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Familiarity with WHS systems and compliance standards. Strong computer skills and ability to manage operational systems. Self‑motivated, proactive, and passionate about business growth and team success.
