Until 31 May 2025 possibility of extensionThe Women's Safety, and Victims and Community Support Division engages more than 400 staff across 4 diverse branches, including Community Justice Services, Investment and Commissioning, Women's Safety and Violence Prevention, and Victim Assist Queensland.Your key responsibilities will be:• Provide timely advice, guidance, information, and assistance on strategic and operational business matters.• Prepare and quality assure correspondence, submissions, proposals, and initiatives requiring coordinated responses and contribute where appropriate or as directed.• Coordinate and contribute to key activities including business planning, projects, and internal/external reporting requirements to ensure that they are timely and of a high standard.• Provide effective communication and liaison services on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Director-General to a wide range of organisations, agencies, offices, and individuals.• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and linkages with key stakeholders including the Minister's Office, senior management, and staff.• Review, analyse and influence current internal processes and systems to ensure continuous improvement of strategic, operational and governance mechanisms.If you are up to a challenging role in a fast-paced division, the ideal applicant will be able to:• Ability to provide high quality advice, assistance, and confidential executive support to the Deputy Director-General, by coordinating ministerial and executive correspondence.• Coordinate the distribution, tracking and flow of briefings and correspondence, in consultation with divisional officers, to successfully finalise competing priorities.• Manage a busy mailbox and prioritise workload to meet ministerial timeframes.• A strong customer focus, have excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and focused on tracking and delivering on outcomes.• Completes workload within established timeframes and adjusts priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.• Prioritises and completes work on multiple projects simultaneously.• Performs well in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.• Writes concise, logical, and grammatically correct responses to Ministerial and Departmental correspondence.• Maintains an optimistic outlook and fosters a workplace culture where all individuals share a personal responsibility for promoting the physical and psychological health and safety of others.• Contributes to workplace equity, diversity, respect, and inclusion that enriches our culture of respect and inclusion.Applications will remain current for 12 months.Further information
