Description The System Administrator's role is to manage client systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of supported environments. Core to this role is your ability to work through service tickets and requests for our customers, providing efficient responses at each interaction. Our System Administrator team also contributes to the updating of process documentation and develops proactive and innovative solutions that lead to faster turnarounds and value-add for customers. Key responsibilities Support workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls and security systems. Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary. Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches and reconfigurations. About you Proven and demonstrated work ethic that is a match to our core values Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills Outstanding ability to prioritise time and ticket urgency 3 years' work experience in a similar/relevant role Demonstrated experience with Windows systems, desktops and servers Ability to effectively execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to be available for on-call duties after-hours (no more than one week every four) Must have Australian work rights for this position Skills Windows Server and Desktop Administration General networking knowledge, experience with Meraki, FortiGate and Ubiquiti desirable. Experience with Microsoft 365 administration. A focus on Teams, SharePoint and Exchange is desirable. General intermediate knowledge of security event triage utilising the Microsoft Defender and Sentinel platforms. Experience deploying and managing applications, policies and devices in Microsoft Intune. Experience with data management and applicable data privacy practices. Experience with Azure virtual machines, Recovery Services Vault, Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure networking.
