System Administrator Whizdom is looking for a Mainframe Systems Administrator to provide strong customer focus and rich technical expertise in mainframe systems administration in a z15 z/OS environment. Contract: Long Term Location: Sydney or Melbourne Security Clearance: Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance About the role: DB/Language - Adabas/Natural Transaction processor – TSO, NIM Monitoring, Alerting, Printing & Operational Support – XYMON, MXG, VPS/NIMSPL Middleware – MQ, Datastream, RPC, Corba Scheduler/Batch processor – CA-11/Jobtrac Job Language - JCL Security – RACF, Natural security Source Code Management – N20 Storage/Backup Management – Hitachi VPS5100, CA-1 (Tape Management) Key Responsibilities: Software maintenance (patching/upgrading software) in a mainframe environment, SMP/E skills (mainframe software management). 24X7 support, shift work and after‑hours support required. Operational and technical support to Application support and management. Problem ticket in‑depth analysis, trouble‑shooting, problem resolution. Operational monitoring, alerting and tuning. Proactively providing innovative solutions in accordance with modern technologies. Build and maintain relationships with and advise various levels of stakeholders.
