Pines Learning is seeking a motivated and committed 2IC & Educational Leader to join our community Early Learning Centre (ELC). About the Role As the 2IC & Educational Leader, you will support the delivery of high-quality education and care programs and help guide our team in creating an engaging, inclusive and child-centred environment. You will bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude to this hands‑on leadership role, leading by example and fostering a collaborative and reflective team culture. Key responsibilities include: Leading and supporting the development and implementation of the educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (V2.0) and National Quality Standards. Mentoring educators in planning, documentation, intentional teaching and reflective practice. Facilitating reflective meetings and contributing to continuous improvement across the service. Modelling high‑quality, respectful interactions with children, families and educators. Assisting with day‑to‑day operations, ensuring supervision, ratios and routines meet regulatory requirements. Maintaining a safe, hygienic environment in line with National Regulations and WHS standards. Building strong partnerships with families and providing guidance on children's learning and wellbeing. Supporting induction and ongoing development of educators. Completing compliance documentation, incident reporting and acting as Responsible Person in Charge when required. Engaging with external professionals where needed to support children's individual needs. About You We are looking for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm and genuine commitment to early childhood education. You must have a passion for children's learning, a readiness to grow as a leader and the ability to inspire and support others. Essential requirements: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education. Strong understanding of NQS and National Regulations. Current Level 2 First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training. Working with Children Check, National Police Check and the right to work in Australia. Desirable: Leadership or mentoring training. Experience in inclusion support or family engagement.
