Little Scribblers Early Learning Centre – Beaconsfield VIC Little Scribblers Beaconsfield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Centre Manager (2IC) to join our team in a full-time, on-the-floor leadership role. This position is central to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for children, anchored firmly in the Child Safe Standards and the National Quality Framework. Our 145-place, purpose-built centre offers engaging, inspiring learning spaces influenced by Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and The Curiosity Approach. We prioritise each child’s wellbeing, safety, and individual learning journey. Working closely with the Centre Manager, you will provide hands‑on leadership, mentor educators, and support strong compliance and child-safe practices across the service. Key Responsibilities Operational & Child‑Safe Leadership: Support smooth daily operations while ensuring all practices align with the Child Safe Standards, safeguarding every child’s wellbeing, safety, and rights. On‑the‑Floor Management: Lead by example across rooms, maintaining high levels of supervision, engagement, and safe practice. Team Support & Collaboration: Mentor and guide educators, build a respectful team culture, and promote professional reflection and growth. Quality, Compliance & Risk Management: Uphold the NQF, EYLF, NQS, and the Child Safe Standards, ensuring policies, procedures, and risk assessments are consistently followed. Program & Practice Support: Work with educators to deliver meaningful, child‑led programs that foster development, belonging, and safety. Family & Community Partnerships: Build open, respectful relationships with families, promote safe communication, and support community connections.
