Position Summary As the Assistant Manager – Stewarding, you oversee cleanliness, hygiene and organization of all kitchen and back‑of‑house areas. You lead the stewarding team, ensuring compliance with luxury hotel standards, food safety regulations and sustainability practices. You manage daily operations, coordinate equipment and inventory control, and collaborate closely with Culinary, Food & Beverage and Events teams to support exceptional guest experiences. The Role Plan weekly roster and work schedule to ensure adequate staffing. Oversee and manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with service standards, policies and operating procedures. Establish SOPs for chemical usage to ensure safety and cost saving. Monitor and conduct monthly inventory checks on operating equipment and supplies. Ensure back‑of‑house cleaning schedules and garbage runs are strictly adhered to and standards met. Submit reports to Chefs and Food & Beverage Office. Attend monthly Green Team meetings and drive recycling awareness. Handle internal customer complaints and inquiries courteously and efficiently. Ensure waste is disposed correctly and regularly. Monitor stewarding operations, especially during peak periods, and make necessary adjustments. Control stock and par levels in all stewarding areas. Talent Profile General Education Certificate / Diploma. Experience in a similar role at a luxury hotel or resort. Knowledge of chemical and cleaning machinery. A hands‑on approach and passion for world‑class behind‑the‑scenes service. HACCP or Food Safety Program knowledge. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel). Familiarity with Canva for creating training materials or visual content. Good command of written and spoken English. Valid working rights in Australia.
