About The Role The National Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance and compliance of all EDU campuses across Australia. The role ensures that facilities are safe, functional, well-maintained and appropriately equipped for staff and students. Working closely with key stakeholders, this role oversees national facilities operations including maintenance, contractor and vendor management, campus infrastructure projects, and compliance with all relevant WHS, environmental and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day facilities management across all campuses nationally, ensuring that all campus facilities and equipment, staff and learning spaces are clean, safe, functional and well‑maintained. Serve as the primary point of contact for campus building managers and/or landlords nationally. Coordinate campus services with internal teams to ensure consistent service standards and responsive issue resolution. Ensure all campuses comply with relevant building, fire, environmental and regulatory requirements. Manage procurement, delivery and installation of new and/or replacement furniture, fixtures and equipment. Monitor facilities‑related expenditure and maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and operational costs. Support planning and delivery of campus openings, relocations, refurbishments, make‑goods and infrastructure upgrades. Develop, implement, and monitor a national safety management system aligned with WHS legislation and relevant safety standards. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, emergency drills and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Fulfil and/or coordinate fire warden and first aid responsibilities, ensuring trained personnel and appropriate equipment are in place. Lead and/or support incident investigations and ensure follow‑up actions are completed. Provide WHS training, guidance and resources to campus teams. Source, select and engage national service providers (e.g. cleaning, security, maintenance, etc.). Manage contractor performance including service delivery, response times and adherence to agreed quality/service standards. Education, Experience and Skills Qualification in relevant field Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities management with at least 2 years in a national role. Strong understanding of WHS legislation, building codes, and compliance requirements Experience within the education sector preferred Excellent people management skills with the ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities High‑level problem‑solving and decision‑making skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 Why Join us?
