About the Role
As the Business Compliance Manager in the Monitoring, Automation and Control (MAC) Value Stream, you are a specialist responsible for supporting ANZ Plus and Customer Migration to fulfil its responsibilities in respect of its compliance obligations.
Your key accountabilities include:
Partnering with your assigned business portfolio to develop a strong understanding of its needs and priorities and work with the business portfolio to ensure its propositions are compliant by design and delivered safely for our customers.
Being a key member of a multi-disciplined risk enablement team who think about compliance and risks differently, come up with commercial compliance solutions / controls and are trusted partners of the program.
Enabling efficiencies in compliance management and governance – collaborate in the design and delivery of automation and technology initiatives that improve the way ANZx and Customer Migration manages its compliance obligations and monitors its controls.
Embedding regulatory awareness, compliance management and escalation frameworks.
Managing regulatory change impacts to Customer Migration.
This role will report to the ANZx Compliance Lead, Monitoring Automation and Control (MAC) Value Stream, ANZx and be part of a multidisciplinary team of enablement specialists.

What will your day look like?
As a Business Compliance Manager, you will:
Partner with the Porfolio Lead, Product Owners, Legal, Technology, Risk and Assurance colleagues to come up with risk and control solutions that address relevant obligations and associated compliance risks.
Be creative in coming up with what’s possible while keeping the safety and financial wellbeing of our customers at our core.
Understand team needs and priorities to support safe design and delivery of features as well as business change initiatives.
Embed awareness of applicable obligations, regulatory change impacts and escalation of compliance risks and issues across the broader ANZ businesses.
Review and assess design effectiveness of compliance-related controls.
Reporting – enhance compliance delivery services and information for decision-making.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience in identifying, communicating, designing and developing solutions or controls that comply with regulatory requirements.
Assurance experience in digital transformation or change management programs will also be well regarded.
Strategic thinker who demonstrates a strong record of execution and possesses a delivery-focused mindset.
Strong relationship-building skills to partner with the business portfolio and other specialist functions to design commercial solution options that meet its obligations and mitigate its risks.
Experience in risk management, assurance or process improvement.
Ability to adopt market trends and optimise the way we manage and monitor risks and compliance obligations.
Passionate about how technology can be applied to improve and automate the way compliance is managed and monitored.
Interest in using data and insights to inform and drive decision-making.
