Senior Compliance Manager, FAR

The Opportunity:
The Senior Compliance Manager role has full accountability for delivery and ongoing management of compliance with the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR). This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
You will lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of FAR activities for Bupa Health Insurance and its supporting functions (e.g. Risk, Audit, Finance, Company Secretary etc), this position will ensure Bupa meets its obligations under the FAR legislation.
How will I help?
- Working with the business and other key stakeholders, develop and implement an effective FAR framework including:
- FAR Accountability Statements and Accountability Maps
- FAR processes and procedures including notifications to regulators
- A FAR Reasonable Steps framework
- Operate the FAR framework on an ongoing basis to support the entity and Accountable Persons (AP) in meeting the FAR obligations, including managing ongoing assurance activities, communication with APs, submissions to regulators and reporting to Senior Management and Board.
- Develop and maintain a network across the business and manage the profile of the FAR program and act as the focal point for all FAR activities.
- Design FAR training and communications to educate employees on the principles and implications of FAR.
- Identify and manage interdependencies with other regulatory requirements (including CPS 511, CPS 230 and Fit and Proper requirements)

What do I need?
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Compliance, Law, Risk Management or a related discipline
- Experience in business partnering roles in corporate organisations
- Deep compliance and regulatory experience of Australia and New Zealand relevant to Bupa’s activities – FAR experience is essential
- Experience in developing compliance frameworks within large international businesses
- Proven track record in implementing pragmatic responses to regulatory issues and requirements
- An ability to distil complex concepts into actionable advice for governing bodies.
- Experience in presenting to senior management teams to explain and educate in compliance frameworks
- Proven track record of effective stakeholder management and driving outcomes
