Overview Sales Development Representative – Melbourne, VIC (Hybrid) | Full-time At Buildxact , we’re changing the way builders and contractors run their businesses. Our easy-to-use construction management software helps builders quote, manage and deliver projects with confidence. We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Melbourne team. Why join us Be part of a fast-growing SaaS company making a real difference in the construction industry Hybrid work environment – work from home and in our Melbourne office (at least 2 days a week) Career growth opportunities – SDRs at Buildxact often grow into Business Development Manager or Customer Success Manager roles Collaborative, supportive culture that lives by our values: It’s yours to nail; Customer success is our success; Do what’s right; Keep it simple Responsibilities Research, identify and qualify potential customers through multiple channels (referrals, online research, social media, industry events) Execute outbound prospecting strategies including cold calling, email outreach and campaigns Build initial relationships with builders and contractors, understand their needs and highlight how Buildxact can help Qualify prospects and hand over warm leads to the Business Development team Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing and RevOps to optimise campaigns Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and report regularly on pipeline activity Conduct product demos and presentations to showcase Buildxact’s solutions Share customer feedback and market insights to help shape our strategy Qualifications Previous experience in sales development, lead generation, or inside sales (ideally SaaS or construction tech) Strong communication and relationship-building skills Resilient, persistent and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset Organised and proactive with excellent time-management skills Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) is an advantage Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or similar is a plus but not essential Success looks like You’re consistently engaging with high volumes of prospects You’re creating quality opportunities for the sales team to close You’re curious, adaptable, and always learning from wins and losses You bring energy, enthusiasm and collaboration to the team every day What’s in it for you A supportive team who wants you to succeed Clear development pathways into senior sales or customer success roles The chance to work in a company that values simplicity, integrity, and customer success Ready to nail it with us?
