Resource Recovery Transition Officer – Multi Unit Dwellings (MUDs) Type: Temporary (Fixed Term) Part‑time (22.8 hours per week) for 12 months Salary: Salary Band 5 – $81,501.12 + Superannuation (pro rata) Location: Notting Hill Closing date: 23/11/2025 City of Monash is a dynamic organisation committed to delivering excellence in service delivery. About the Position The Resource Recovery Transition Officer – MUDs will lead the transition of multi‑unit developments to private waste services and updated kerbside offerings, ensuring alignment with council policies, planning permits and waste‑management plans. The officer will engage with stakeholders to promote sustainable waste practices, support education initiatives and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. Skills and Experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage residents, property managers and internal teams Ability to interpret waste‑management plans, technical drawings and infrastructure requirements Proficiency in data tracking, reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications Excellent time management and coordination skills to manage multiple transitions and stakeholder engagements Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking to address site‑specific waste challenges Experience in community education and promotion of sustainable waste practices Requirements Relevant qualification in waste management, environmental management, sustainability, communications, public policy or related field, or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience in waste management, stakeholder engagement and service coordination (preferably local government or multi‑unit dwelling) Employee Working with Children’s Check Satisfactory National Police Check Current Victorian driver’s licence (required) Other pre‑employment checks may be required Benefits Supportive and experienced leaders focused on your development and wellbeing Health and wellbeing programmes Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family Flexible working arrangements Training and development opportunities Discounted gym memberships at Active Monash Recreation Centres How to Apply Please submit your CV with a cover letter outlining your experience and how it relates to the role.
