With around 250 employees and multi‑site branches nationally, the organisation has a strong market presence and revenue. It is focused on strengthening its people, culture, and governance frameworks, and is committed to building more robust HR foundations while partnering with leaders to support teams through growth, change, and operational demands. About the Role This is a hands‑on People & Culture Business Partner opportunity, supporting a national workforce through the end‑of‑year period while senior HR leaders are on leave. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will partner with managers and employees across corporate and branch locations, providing practical HR advice and managing day‑to‑day HR operations. You’ll work alongside an existing HR contractor and play a stabilising role while the team navigates a payroll/time & attendance project and end‑of‑year activity aligned to the Japanese financial year. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted HR generalist and first point of contact for managers across ER, performance and day‑to‑day people issues. Manage core HR processes across the full employee lifecycle – contracts, onboarding, probation reviews, changes, exits and associated documentation. Support remuneration review processes and salary benchmarking during December peak. Provide pragmatic advice on employment relations matters, grievances, investigations and performance conversations, with support from the HR Manager where needed. Ensure compliance with legislation and internal procedures while applying sound judgement and common sense in areas where policies are still maturing. Partner closely with supervisors, leading hands and managers in both blue‑collar and white‑collar environments. Support HR data integrity and documentation as systems and frameworks continue to develop. About You Experienced HR generalist or HR Business Partner with proven success in busy, operational settings. Strong background in mixed blue/white‑collar environments. Confidence managing ER matters, performance issues, investigations and day‑to‑day people matters. Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions and apply practical judgement to complex situations. Comfort operating in complex multi‑site environments, working within ambiguity. Strong senior leadership stakeholder skills, with the ability to coach and support managers and supervisors. Additional Requirements & Benefits Location: Sydney Olympic Park – parking on site.
