Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Murrumbeena Football Netball Club – Murrumbeena VIC Role Overview The Marketing & Communications Coordinator provides brand management support, and is responsible for implementing marketing, public relations, advertising and promotional strategy for the MFNC. Tasks include: Develop and execute club-wide marketing and communications strategy Create engaging and informative content to raise brand awareness Liaise with our Social Mediator Coordinator and Website Developer for content distribution Creating a club e-newsletter Build a sense of belonging between the Club and its followers This role is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting grassroots sports, connecting with the community, and contributing to a club's long-term success. This is a hybrid role. Most of the work can be completed remotely, and then you would need to be on-site for various meetings and all in-person fundraising events. Time Required During the season: 3 hours per week. These hours may change as this new role evolves, and templates and processes are created. Key Responsibilities Before Season Understand the key social, fundraising and sporting activities that will take place throughout the year and develop communications strategies to support and promote each activity. Determine which social media platforms and strategies best suit the achievement of your communication strategy and Club goals and objectives. Create/revise social media policy (code of conduct) and ensure it adequately covers social media and newsletters. Ensure the revised social media policy is provided to the committee for sign off. During Season Actively update the Club's communication platforms throughout the week during the season (updating followers on scores, results, injuries, achievements milestones etc.). Coordinate the production and submission of weekly media releases, which may include quotes, articles, videos and photographs. Organise communications for publicity for Club milestones, events and activities. Promote the Club's key activities and events throughout the year. Promote sponsors, especially promoting special offers from sponsors. Promote the Club's social media platforms. Facilitate social media participation and engagement within Club stakeholders. Collaborate with all divisions of the Club to ensure their message and stories are being continually promoted and communicated. Assist the Committee in promoting the Club in the local and wider community. After Season Review communications and social media strategy and make adjustments for the upcoming year. Review the list of people who have access to the Club's website and social media sites and remove access for those you no longer wish to have access to the Club's website and social media sites through the off season and beyond.
