Our boutique Specialist Women's Health Gynaecology practice of two gynaecologists is seeking a Junior Medical Secretary & Receptionist. In this position, you will be work together with the administrative team to provide administrative and reception support to the medical practice, ensuring seamless operations and a positive patient experience. Casual position, part- time, 2 - 4 days/ week (must be available to work Monday and Wednesday) Enjoy a central Bondi Junction location — close to public transport, cafes, and the beach Will be suitable for an university student looking for experience in healthcare Candidates must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position What you'll be doing Provide an outstanding level of customer service on the phone and in person, providing reception and administrative services to the patients, doctors and staff at the the practice Be the face of the practice - greet and welcome patients to the practice, managing the front desk and reception area Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, maintaining the clinic's calendar Manage medical records, filing, and data entry to keep patient information up-to-date Assist with medical billing, insurance claims, and other financial administration tasks Ensure a high level of customer service and a welcoming environment for all patients with strict What we're looking for Australian citizen/ resident or have permanent work rights in Australia We welcome all candidates with excellent customer service skills. Previous experience as a medical secretary, receptionist, or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional manner Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with attention to detail Proficiency in using medical software (Xestro or similar) is desirable Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry regulations and procedures is desirable Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy Able to work well independently, but also as part of a team Hourly pay is commensurate with experience.
