SAP Sovereign Cloud - Expert DevOps Engineer Join SAP as an Expert DevOps Engineer in the Sovereign Cloud team. Bring your expertise to a world‑class environment where you will help shape next‑generation compliant cloud solutions for regulated industries and government entities. Role – Expectations and Tasks Present Sovereign Cloud offering, technical details, and engagement model, including managed service offerings, to customers and stakeholders. Present the technical and value proposition for private cloud on various platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, SCI, etc.). Conduct customer assessment workshops to define the cloud roadmap from As‑is to To‑Be based on the deployment model. Enable the customer to understand Sovereign Cloud principles, operational aspects, and managed services. Plan the migration roadmap together with partners, system integrators, and SAP Professional Services. Advise on non‑functional capabilities such as Business Continuity, Security, and Compliance. Own technical discussions with the customer and liaise internally. Provide ongoing deal support by being part of VAT and a trusted advisor. Handover to delivery for deployment and provisioning. Skills Bachelor’s or master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited university. Effective customer communication and presentation skills. High proficiency in SAP product portfolio, industry solutions, and offerings. Strong understanding of SAP solution releases and dependencies. Solid knowledge of cloud and platform stacks (virtualization, compute, network, storage). In‑depth understanding of hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, SCI). Experience with SAP HANA, S/4 HANA, SAP NetWeaver, OS/DB migration, and certifications such as TOGAF is a plus. High‑level knowledge of SAP BTP and integration services. Knowledge of cybersecurity, FIPS, and data privacy laws (preferred). Self‑sufficient, able to work under critical timelines, and a continuous learner (preferred). Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an asset. Experience 10+ years of customer‑facing and SAP consulting experience. 8+ years in enterprise architecture, solution design, or SAP implementation. Prior experience in pre‑sales (preferred). Certification or experience with hyperscalers AWS, Azure, GCP. Experience in service delivery and ITSM. Experience managing SAP system operations and maintenance. Hands‑on experience with regulated industries and the public sector.
