About The Role The NUM 3 plays a pivotal role in coordinating patient care, overseeing service management and providing strong leadership to the nursing team. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while promoting the efficient and effective use of resources. The role is integral to maintaining clinical excellence and supporting safe practice, in alignment with current nursing standards and Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) policies and procedures. This is a Full‑Time permanent role based in Coffs Harbour. About You You are a dedicated nursing professional with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and can bring extensive operational management experience within a relevant clinical setting, with the proven ability to effectively coordinate unit and service activities to support high‑quality patient care. You have demonstrated success in managing human, physical and financial resources within a defined budget, ensuring services operate safely, efficiently and in line with organisational priorities. Your leadership style is collaborative and supportive, enabling you to effectively guide nursing teams within a multidisciplinary environment. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you confidently consult, liaise and negotiate with staff at all levels, patients, families and external agencies and you are skilled in influencing positive organisational change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Highly proficient in a range of computer applications, you use digital tools to enhance service coordination and operational performance. Your leadership is underpinned by contemporary change management methodologies and a strong understanding of the current issues and challenges facing the nursing profession.
