Supported by a dynamic senior management team, you'll play a key role in expanding the business across various refinish, automotive retail and industrial sectors. The Position We are looking for a motivated and technically minded Business Development Manager to lead sales initiatives across Queensland and northern New South Wales. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and margin expansion across various distribution (retail, refinish & industrial) channels. You will also provide technical leadership and training to a wide range of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Identify and secure new customer groups, distributor channels & business partners in your assigned territories. Drive face‑to‑face distributors and end user visits to foster relationships and grow the business. Work closely with distributors and internal stakeholders driving new business sales through distribution channels. Complete end user calls to demonstrate, promote and train end‑users on product range. Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities. Build and nurture long‑term relationships whilst creating, managing, executing and reviewing strategic business partner business / sales plans. Deliver enhanced customer value & technical knowledge by completing joint sales calls with distributor and business partner sales teams. Identify and recommend the assessment & appointment of new distributors where necessary. Assist with the evaluation of distributor performance within your assigned territory. Ensure alignment with company values and policies and manage ad‑hoc projects as needed. What We’re Looking For A confident demeanor with professional presentation and excellent communication skills. An eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. A passion for assisting distributors, business partners and end users achieve sustainable commercial success. Qualifications Trade Qualifications (Automotive Body Repair/Spray Painting) are an advantage however not essential. NACE Certification is a bonus. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is required; experience with SAP & Salesforce is advantageous. A track record of impressive sales results and technical competency.
