Senior Bookkeeper - Australian Experience Required Join Set Up My Offshore as a remote Senior Bookkeeper. About the Role This is a remote position based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. You will support our Australian overseas client operations with comprehensive bookkeeping services. Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Process accounts payable and receivable Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Reconcile intercompany transactions if applicable Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) Ensure accurate GST coding and compliance with ATO regulations Run payroll cycles and handle superannuation payments, PAYG withholding, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting Execute journal entries and accruals Assist with preparation of financial reports for management Communicate financial insights to management or clients Liaise with the ATO, tax agents, or financial advisors as needed Create custom reports on cash flow, P&L, balance sheet, etc. Provide insights for budgeting and forecasting Requirements Qualification in accounting or bookkeeping such as a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or higher At least 4 years of bookkeeping experience with a proven track record of managing financial records and preparing financial reports At least 6 years of experience in Australian organisations overall Experience using bookkeeping software such as Xero and MYOB Experience working with Australian Payroll Legislation Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel Excellent written and verbal communication skills Exceptional analytical skills to interpret financial data and provide insights to clients or employers Benefits Commensurate with experience remuneration package Work equipment provision Permanent WFH arrangement Fixed day‑shift schedule In‑house and outdoor company events such as team building, Christmas party, quarterly meet‑ups, team huddles #J-18808-Ljbffr
