Technical Officer - Agricultural Instruction We are seeking to establish a pool of Technical Officer - Agricultural Instruction for permanent and fixed term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Our farming enterprises include broadacre cropping, sheep meat and wool production, pork production, cattle, butchery, and general farm maintenance. We are looking for people with interest in skills in one or more of these enterprise areas to fill any vacancies that may arise in the future. Our college is in the beautiful Wheatbelt town of Cunderdin, approximately 3 kilometres from the town site. We operate a 4000ha commercial farm; have extensive education and training resources and is a Registered Training Organisation delivering to students enrolled in year 11 and 12 only. The Role Suitable applicants will provide on‑job workplace training to year 11 and 12 students, deliver and assess training in Certificates II & III in Agriculture and be responsible for Workplace Health and Safety requirements. The ability to role‑model outstanding employability skills and to work with students in a training capacity and can work as part of a team, is essential to be successful in this position. Technical Officer – Agricultural Instruction will assist with the duties associated with the running of the College Farm and deliver agricultural training under supervision and assist in the assessment of student skills. To fulfil these requirements, suitable applicants will need a C‑class driver’s licence and be supported to gain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, as well as a HR licence within 12 months of commencement, all funded by the College. Suitable applicants should help in a wide range of general agricultural tasks including supporting cropping and livestock production systems. These duties typically involve assisting with the care of livestock like cattle, sheep, or pigs, operating machinery and equipment, and maintaining the farm's infrastructure such as fences. On top of the Level 1, 2, and 3 salary packages stated, an additional 150 hrs overtime per year is paid fortnightly as part of the Technical Officer salary package and this is used during rostered weekend duties and as required and agreed on by the Manager and Technical Officer. The highest rate an applicant can start at as a L1 is Level 1.4 (as negotiated with the principal). However, applicants may still be able to commence at a L2.1 or L3.1 if suitably qualified or with requisite experience.
