Advantaged Care at Barden Lodge is our beautiful boutique 63‑bed aged care residence located at Barden Ridge in the Sutherland Shire Area. The residence brings an unprecedented level of affordable luxury to aged care and is designed to create an inviting, comfortable, calm and peaceful environment for our residents and families to enjoy. We are currently recruiting for a Recreational Activities Officer on a full‑time basis. About the Role As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will be accountable to the Facility Manager and the Director of Care for the day‑to‑day management of the resident lifestyle program. Your main responsibility is to ensure that residents’ social and recreational needs are assessed and carried out through the development of a therapeutic lifestyle program. What We Look For A recognised relevant qualification in Diversional Therapy, Certificate IV in Leisure and Health and/or equivalent Experience in or assisting with formulating, facilitating and evaluating activity programmes in aged care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Motivation with an ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team A strong passion for quality in aged care Strong values of empathy, honesty, respect and loyalty Good administration and documentation skills Intermediate computer skills All applicants must be willing to provide a valid police check and undergo a pre‑employment medical. The successful candidate will be required to have a flu vaccination and COVID‑19 vaccinations in line with government direction.
