Information Technology Manager

A leading organisation is seeking an accomplished Information Technology Manager to drive its technology vision and deliver outstanding business outcomes. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, and leading a team of 4, you will play a pivotal part in aligning innovation with operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer‑centric solutions. With flexible working arrangements available in Melbourne or Sydney, this position provides a competitive salary package and the chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic industry. What You’ll Do Lead the strategic use of technology to enhance business performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency while ensuring full compliance with industry regulations. Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with organisational objectives and drives business growth. Identify emerging technologies and trends to foster innovation and create competitive advantages for the organisation. Ensure robust business continuity and disaster recovery strategies are established, maintained, and regularly tested for effectiveness. Manage relationships with third‑party vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure optimal performance and value delivery. Lead vendor selection processes including tendering, evaluation, procurement, contract negotiation, and ongoing performance management. Develop and manage the technology budget effectively by monitoring expenditures, tracking ROI on projects, and optimising resource allocation for cost‑effectiveness. What You Bring Demonstrate at least four years’ proven success in senior IT management roles within regulated industries such as energy or utilities. Possess deep knowledge of current technology trends including software development best practices, IT infrastructure management, digital transformation strategies. Showcase strong vendor management skills encompassing contract negotiation as well as oversight of outsourced IT services or managed service providers. Exhibit excellent communication abilities enabling you to engage stakeholders at all levels while translating complex technical matters into clear business value. Display strategic thinking combined with a commitment to continuous improvement; you consistently seek ways to enhance operational excellence through innovative solutions.
