Position Overview The Quality Control Engineer - plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and managing non-conforming products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This position involves performing vital metrology activities, processing non-conformances, and overseeing measurement instrument calibration. You will also contribute significantly to enhancing product and process quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, and resolving both internal and external quality issues. Key Responsibilities Timely processing of Non-Conformances (NCRs) and managing calibration of required instruments. Conduct precise metrological services to ensure compliance with "Deliver In Full, On Time" (DIFOT) standards. Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve non-conformance issues and manage the disposition of discrepant materials. Perform CMM programming and operation, and improve measurement techniques and methodologies. Participate in maintaining quality system compliance and conducting internal audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimise product quality through collaboration with manufacturing teams. Prepare and present relevant quality control reports and training programs. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality control and metrology, with a commitment to driving quality and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality discipline. A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with high precision metrology instrumentation. Proficient in CMM programming and operating, specifically with Hexagon PC-DMIS. Thorough understanding of GD&T principles and technical drawings. Demonstrated analytical skills for fault finding and issue resolution. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a positive team environment. We value individuals who are proactive, organised, and possess a flexible "can do" attitude. You should be capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
