TP Human Capital is seeking an experienced Supervisor – Accounts Payable for a 16-month contract in Townsville. The role offers the opportunity to lead a skilled finance team, ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant payment processes across a dynamic and fast-paced environment. About the Role The Supervisor – Accounts Payable oversees day-to-day payables operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial control. This position plays a key role in supporting the team, maintaining data integrity, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes and systems. Key Responsibilities Supervise the Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier, vendor, staff, and payments. Maintain and review vendor records in the financial system to ensure data accuracy and compliance. Oversee reconciliations, journal adjustments, and end-of-month activities. Provide advice and act as a key contact for payables queries and escalations. Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Support training and capability building across automated payables systems and tools. Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to system and service enhancements. About You Experience leading or supervising an accounts payable or finance team. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, vendor management, and reconciliations. Skilled in using financial systems and Excel with high attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent customer service and communication skills when managing queries and stakeholders. Organised and proactive, able to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities. Experience in large, complex organisations is desirable.
