Workforce Development and Quality Manager Add expected salary to your profile for insights Formally established in 1986, Devonport Child Care Centres (DCCC) is an Incorporated Association delivering high quality early learning services in the greater Devonport area. The Organisation provides long day care service at two sites (Elanora and Malangenna) in addition to out of school hours services including school holiday programs delivered by approximately 90 staff. About the role We are looking for a passionate, skilled and dedicated Workforce Development and Quality Manager to join our strategic leadership team, to effectively build and support DCCC's workforce capability and quality. Working across the whole Organisation, the successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to enhance the skills and performance of our valued educators, while working to continuous improvement in relation to the Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs). Key Responsibilities Effectively build and support the capabilities and capacity of the Organisation by enhancing the workforce through upskilling and development programs. Provide support to Directors and DCCC employees with supervision, performance management, mentoring and problem solving. Provide an Organisational approach to supporting and building workforce development and capability through training, professional learning and programs. Provide training to Directors to ensure consistency across the Organisation. Promote and support continuous improvement in relation to key quality areas. Develop and maintain a framework which guides and drives continuous quality improvement across the Organisation. The successful candidate will have A demonstrated high level of communication and people management skills. Proven ability to lead and work within a team environment. Demonstrated strategy and problem‑solving ability. Experience and qualifications relevant to the leadership of the workforce development and quality improvement requirements of an early learning organisation. High ethical standards. Well‑developed presentation skills in both internal and external environments relevant to the Organisation. Proven and recognised technical skills regarding communication, engagement, workforce development management and quality improvement in a manner consistent with the vision, values and strategic direction of DCCC. Selection Criteria Proven and recognised relevant technical skills and qualifications particularly in an organisation that focuses on early learning, education and care. Demonstrated experience in a leadership and management role within a team to achieve successful outcomes. Proven ability to contribute to the long‑term future of the Organisation. Relevant experience and wide range of skills with regard to the management and support of workforce development and quality improvement in an early learning organisation with a community focus.
