The Opportunity : Contract Manager We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to take ownership of major subcontractor packages and joint venture agreements, including the design joint venture and key delivery partners . Reporting to the Subcontracts Manager , you will play a critical role in the financial and commercial success of this multi-billion-dollar infrastructure project. This role requires exceptional commercial acumen , strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage complex contractual negotiations while ensuring compliance, governance, and financial performance. Why You Should Apply Manage High-Value Packages – Oversee major subcontract and JV agreements, including the design joint venture and leading infrastructure partners Unrivalled Salary and Benefits – A top-tier remuneration package that reflects the scale and responsibility of the role Career Advancement – Work on one of the largest PPP projects in NSW , setting you up for senior leadership roles Collaborate with Industry Leaders – Work alongside Tier One subcontractors, government agencies, and major joint venture partners Work Close to Home – Ideal for Western Sydney professionals , offering work-life balance in a high-profile project Key Responsibilities Subcontract and Supplier Management – Lead negotiations, draft agreements, and oversee major contract packages Joint Venture and Partner Engagement – Collaborate with key JV partners, including the design joint venture and Tier One contractors Contract Lifecycle Management – Ensure contracts are executed, monitored, and closed out effectively Claims and Dispute Resolution – Handle claims, variations, and commercial negotiations to safeguard project profitability Financial Oversight – Manage budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting Stakeholder Leadership – Develop and maintain strong relationships with key project partners, subcontractors, and internal teams Compliance and Governance – Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, legal requirements, and best-practice commercial management What We’re Looking For Tertiary qualification in Commercial Management, Contract Law, Finance, or a related field Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction / commercial management , with at least five years in major infrastructure rail projects Proven success in subcontractor and joint venture management , including large-scale commercial negotiations Strong commercial acumen with expertise in risk management, claims resolution, and contract governance Experience working in collaborative, relationship-driven project environments Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop commercial teams Why Join Us?
