Grounds and Maintenance Officer Rosebank College Five Dock, NSW, Australia Employment type Part-time – 2 days per week (term time only, 40 weeks per year) About the role The Grounds and Maintenance Officer will support the Facilities Team in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the College’s facilities. The role involves providing high‑level care of the school grounds and buildings, addressing immediate maintenance and safety concerns, completing basic works projects and scheduled maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include: Carrying out maintenance tasks in carpentry, painting, electrical and plumbing areas Using a range of tools and machinery for simple repairs Managing competing priorities with limited direction Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and representing the College with excellence Promoting the College to the wider community where appropriate Qualifications & experience Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role Experience working in a school or independent school environment (preferable but not essential) Valid driver’s licence Carrying out semi‑skilled maintenance tasks in carpentry, painting, electrical and plumbing work Confidence in using a range of tools and machinery for repairs Physical ability to lift, pull, push and carry items within reasonable limits Team working skills and sound interpersonal communication Independent working capability and strong organisational skills Valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one) Commitment to child safeguarding principles The application process To apply, click the Apply button and submit an online application to the Principal.
