Hilliard Christian School is seeking to employ a Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join the team. The Grounds & Maintenance Officer will be employed on a permanent part-time basis of 22.8 hours per week commencing 5 January 2025. Working hours may be arranged on a flexible schedule. The focus of the Grounds & Maintenance Officer is to support the Property Manager in maintaining the school's buildings, facilities and grounds to a safe, functional and welcoming standard. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine groundskeeping duties, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and general garden care. Assist with the upkeep of sporting areas, playgrounds, and outdoor surfaces. Perform minor building repairs such as basic carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks. Identify maintenance needs and report issues promptly. Assist with furniture movement, event setups, and a range of seasonal tasks to support the smooth operation of the site. Application Requirements Hold a relevant qualification and have 2+ years industry experience. Understand Work Health & Safety guidelines. Hold a Working With Vulnerable People card and an Australian Driver Licence. Preferably hold a certificate in First Aid.
