Position Overview: Join Edmen as a casual Residential Youth Worker and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people living in out-of-home care. Partnering with some of Australia’s leading youth service providers, you’ll gain valuable, hands‑on experience every day. This role offers the chance to empower young people to thrive in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment—turning each day into a rewarding adventure. Shift Times AM 0600 - 1400 PM 1400 - 2200 Sleeprover 2200 - 0600 Key Duties and Responsibilities Create a Safe and Supportive Home : Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at‑risk youth. Empower Daily Living : Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence. Facilitate Transportation : Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities. Promote Growth : Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community. Manage Health Needs : Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting. Deliver Trauma-Informed Care : Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma-informed approaches. Engage in Therapeutic Practices : Participate in the Trauma Recovery framework and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) within your first three months. What You Need Hold (or be studying towards) a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar (see full list of accepted qualifications on our website) Australian Drivers License (P2 or higher) Working with Children Check (Blue Card) NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) Current First Aid & CPR certificate Obtained COVID vaccinations including a booster Minimum of 3 months paid experience as a Residential Youth Worker The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required Edmen Community Staffing Solutions is an employer of equal opportunity and encourages CALD, LGBTQIA+ and First Nations people to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
