Position Title: Administration and Student First Aid Officer Tenure: Permanent, commencing January 1, 2026 (46 weeks) Reports to: Principal’s Executive Assistant / Administration Manager We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Administrator who is approachable, highly organised, and IT literate. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced secondary school environment, demonstrate initiative, and maintain a positive, “can‑do” attitude. The College Irene McCormack Catholic College, located just 25 minutes’ drive from Perth city centre, boasts excellent transport links by road and train. The campus is set in wonderful, lush gardens with a large oval and a newly built gymnasium. Further building projects will continue to develop this delightful community. The College offers a Catholic education from Year 7 to Year 12 that is Christ‑centred and student‑focused, inspired by the life of Sr Irene McCormack, Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop, and the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. Committed to providing a holistic teaching and learning program, the College is supported by a strong and vibrant pastoral care programme and enriched by a wide range of extracurricular opportunities. Key Focus This position is the College’s designated First Aid Officer, and the ability to provide timely, accurate, and compassionate medical care is central to the role. First Aid is not an additional duty, it is a core responsibility that ensures the safety and wellbeing of every student. Key Responsibilities Welcoming and assisting parents, students, and visitors at reception in a professional and friendly manner. Managing incoming phone calls and messages with courtesy and efficiency. Providing first aid care to students in the Sickbay and accurately recording details in SEQTA. Recording student medical details on AoS and SEQTA. Auditing and replenishing First Aid Kits and sickbay supplies. Preparing First Aid supplies for excursions and camps, including individual student medical and health records. Keeping accurate records of all First Aid incidents, accidents, and outcomes. Generating database reports (e.g., class lists, medical summaries) as requested. Assisting with the recording of Students with Disabilities in collaboration with the Head of Learning Support. Ordering and managing supplies for stationery, medical needs, and staffroom resources. Processing payments and receipts. Communicating with parents, parent groups, and students as required. Providing accurate information about College services, events, and facilities. Supporting data entry tasks in the AoS Student and Family database. Archiving student files. Providing administrative support to the Executive Leadership Team and other College staff when required. This includes preparing Awards Certificates and assisting with administration processes for Examinations, Parent/Student/Teacher interviews, and Photo Day. Covering Student Services reception and processing student absentees when needed. Performing other duties as directed by the Principal or his delegates. Highly organised and adaptable. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to obtain Senior First Aid within the first two months (essential). The successful applicant will also: Contribute to a respectful and inclusive College environment. Support the Christ‑centred, student‑focused ethos of the College. Uphold the Vision and Mission of the College and the principles of Catholic Education. Treat all members of the community with dignity and respect. Show a genuine commitment to Gospel values and the Catholic faith. Participate in College Masses, Catholic rituals, and staff faith formation activities. Hold, or be willing to obtain, Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School within the required timeframe. Promote the College faith story and the legacy of Sr Irene McCormack. Engage with the College community in a professional and supportive manner. Maintain high standards of personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Use initiative and sound judgment in carrying out responsibilities. Contribute time and effort to support the life and activities of the College. Follow all College policies and procedures.
