Wodonga Council is seeking a dedicated Kindergarten Educator to support the delivery of engaging, high-quality kindergarten programs. Working alongside teachers and other educators, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and fun learning environment where every child feels supported and valued. Key Responsibilities Nurture children’s growth and development – actively engage with children throughout the day, guiding play, encouraging curiosity, and providing support when challenges arise. Create welcoming and safe learning spaces – set up play areas, prepare resources, ensure environments remain clean, safe, and inviting, and address health and safety issues promptly. Contribute to vibrant kindergarten programs – enrich the learning program with observations, ideas, and talents; work with small groups and assist with transitions. Support families and build strong connections – warmly welcome parents and children, listen empathetically, support smooth drop‑off and pick‑up routines, respect confidentiality, and provide reassurance when needed. Collaborate as part of a professional team – work closely with teachers, leaders, students, and volunteers, share ideas, support program delivery, and ensure the day runs smoothly. Why join us? Location – onsite Key Selection Criteria Successful completion of a Diploma of Children’s Services or Certificate III in Children’s Services. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues and other community members. Ability to use own initiative working as an effective member of a team or undertaking tasks independently. Demonstrated understanding and practical application of the National Quality Framework.
