SME Commercial Analyst About Qantas Founded in the Queensland outback in 1920, Qantas has grown to be Australia’s largest airline. The Qantas Group’s main business is the transportation of customers and freight using two complementary airline brands – Qantas and Jetstar – operating regional, domestic, and international services. Role Overview As an SME Commercial Analyst you’ll turn complex data into insights that drive performance and strategic development across the small and medium enterprise segment. You’ll build financial models, develop business cases, track initiatives, and create automated dashboards for real‑time visibility of commercial, customer and operational trends. You’ll be curious, autonomous, and able to influence senior decision‑making. Responsibilities Turn complex data into strategic decisions that shape SME Sales. Achieve smarter investments and prioritisation that drive revenue growth. Build financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives. Track initiatives and create automated dashboards for real‑time visibility of commercial, customer and operational trends. Key Qualifications Prior experience in a commercial, analytical, or similar role. Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, technology, or a related discipline. Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Proven ability to build financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives. Strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and other data visualisation tools. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior decision‑makers. Demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations that drive commercial outcomes. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and deliver results.
