Technician Team Leader

The Technician Team Leader is responsible for strengthening Hilti’s customer relationships and improving our market position by delivering outstanding repair and After‑Market Services that exceed customer needs and outperform our competitors in quality, service level and value. This position is also the Australian Expert Technician responsible for all maintenance and repairs of Hilti’s semi‑autonomous drilling robot, the Jaibot. What You’ll Do Lead and develop a high‑performing team of technicians. Conduct all repairs for the Jaibot as necessary, prioritising Jaibot repairs to limit customer downtime and ensure an outstanding customer experience. Utilise strong technical expertise to repair robotic, electrical, software, and mechanical Jaibot components. Enhance Hilti’s operational effectiveness by analysing organisational structures, systems, and procedures within the After‑Market Services (AMS) division. Identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and support strategic initiatives that elevate customer satisfaction, team performance, and service quality. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and service delivery. Facilitate change management and continuous improvement initiatives. Support technical and procedural innovations across AMS. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Managing and coaching experience with a team of six or more members. Experience repairing complex power tools. Proven track record of achieving targets, KPI's & tight deadlines. Exemplary time‑management skills. Continuous improvement mindset with experience driving a safe work culture. Excellent analytical and data‑interpretation skills. Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders across functions and levels. Demonstrated experience managing dynamic operations and process changes. Exposure to LEAN process systems is advantageous. Can effectively explain and communicate targets to team members, translating KPI's and linking back to business.
