About us: Queensland Government Air (QGAir) forms part of the Queensland Police Service (QPS), Aviation Capability Group (ACG) and provides government aviation services specialising in both rotary and fixed wing operations in support of the QPS and our partner agencies in regular and emergency response operations across Queensland. The Role: Join our dynamic Aviation Operations team and help support QGAir's front‑line aviation services across Queensland. We are looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to support our Operations Coordination Cell in Brisbane. You will liaise and coordinate with all work units of Fixed Wing operations to optimise service delivery to the Queensland Police Service and partner agencies. Your ability to forward plan, quickly evaluate operational constraints and problem‑solve will be essential to support operations. Full‑time, permanent position available in Brisbane. Key Accountabilities: Your Key Accountabilities will include: Coordinate operations in compliance with operations manuals, Safety and Fatigue Management Systems, Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations and other relevant Commonwealth legislation. Coordinate flight requests and approvals from Department of Premier and Cabinet, Queensland Health – DonateLife, Queensland Police Service, Queensland Corrective Services and other partner agencies as required. Assist with aircrew rostering and ground operations including aircraft positioning and loading/unloading. Manage payload distribution, passengers and freight manifest. Coordinate air movements, catering, fuel, security, parking and pavement concessions. Produce data reports, pre and post‑flight administration and other duties as required in support of flight operations. Why Join Us? 12.75% superannuation. What We're Looking For: Highly desirable: Experience with Dangerous Goods awareness and/or acceptance. Relevant experience working in an Operations Coordination support role, ideally in an emergency services or (non‑airline) corporate or private flight department. Knowledge of Flight Operations scheduling systems such as SchedAero and Air Maestro. Understanding of Fatigue Management Systems and the associated CASA regulations. Experience working in a reactive environment with constantly competing priorities. Ability to forward plan, quickly evaluate operational constraints, and problem‑solve solutions. Special Conditions: In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre‑employment testing and participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program. In addition to standard rostered office shifts, the candidate must be able to participate in an ‘on‑call' roster from home for 24‑hour last‑minute police emergency or organ flight coordination requirements.
