Project Officer – Melbourne Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria Overview The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Project Officer to provide a critical role within the MARAM Implementation Team. The role will support the implementation of the Multi‑Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) and related initiatives in Corrections and Justice Services. Responsibilities Contribute to a range of project management activities relating to MARAM implementation in Corrections and Justice Services. Fixed, Full‑time opportunity to work with a high‑performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service. Support the development, management and delivery of new initiatives and projects relevant to family violence in the adult correctional system using project management methodologies. Identify and analyse emerging strategic issues, including family violence data analysis, and provide advice to management. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and develop a shared commitment to the delivery of initiatives and projects. Conduct analysis and interpretation of family violence data, focusing on suitable reporting solutions for internal reporting. Provide technical advice to CJS business areas on the use of data and information available in core IT business systems. Required Skills and Experience Data, digital and technological literacy. Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret, present and report on data, including transforming raw data into reports and understanding performance frameworks, measures and operational data systems. Demonstrated project coordination skills in the successful delivery of complex projects in a technical and outsourced environment, and an understanding of the Department's Project Management Excellence (PME) framework. Strong strategic and organisational awareness and ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders in an environment of competing priorities. Qualifications and Requirements No mandatory qualifications are required, but relevant government experience is desirable. Understanding of the Department's Project Management Excellence (PME) framework or another project management framework is an advantage. Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities are required.
