We’re seeking an experienced Category Manager to join Tabcorp’s Procurement Team on a 6-month contract. You’ll take ownership of key sourcing activity, renegotiate and clean up major gaming and technology contracts, and deliver fast, high-value commercial outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Specifically, you will: Lead sourcing and negotiation activity for major gaming and technology contracts, ensuring strong commercial and risk outcomes Define and refine category strategies, sourcing plans and policies to optimise value delivery across addressable spend Drive contract clean-up activities, ensuring terms, renewals, KPIs and documentation are current, compliant and fit-for-purpose Lead tendering activity (RFIs, RFPs, supplier evaluations) and provide clear commercial recommendations Partner with stakeholders to understand business priorities, identify opportunities, and ensure alignment across categories Support supplier relationship management including KPIs, scorecards, governance cadence and improvement initiatives Provide clear reporting on sourcing activity, value realisation and category performance Identify process improvements across the S2P lifecycle, supporting simplification, standardisation and better ways of working What You’ll Bring You’re a delivery-focused procurement professional who thrives on autonomy and commercial problem-solving. You bring: Proven experience in category management, sourcing or commercial management Strong negotiation capability across complex supplier contracts Experience reviewing, restructuring or cleaning up major contracts Ability to build clear sourcing strategies and provide commercial recommendations Strong analytical and reporting skills (Excel, PowerPoint; Oracle/P2P ideal) Confidence working independently and engaging senior stakeholders Why This Contract This opportunity is ideal for a contractor who wants meaningful, high-impact work without long onboarding cycles.
