About The Role: This is a rare opportunity for an experienced People and Culture Advisor to join our team at Busselton Water. Initially on a contract basis with a view to permanency, this key role will be responsible for providing generalist human resources support to drive the continued growth and success of the business. Responsibilities: Providing operational HR advice and support on a broad range of people‑related matters for enhancing the employee experience, learning and development, performance management, digital systems implementation, talent acquisition and employee relations. Developing and implementing organisational policies, procedures and initiatives that align with the company's values and objectives. Partnering with leaders to identify and address people‑related challenges and opportunities. Driving continuous improvement and knowledge in HR best practices and employee engagement. Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and off‑boarding activities. Coordinating trainee, vacation and graduate schemes. Providing timely reporting of employee analytics, trends and improvement strategies. Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant HR legislation. Providing coaching and support to managers on people‑management best practices. Selection Criteria: Degree qualified in HR, Business or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within an operational services environment. Excellent understanding of Australian employment legislation and best practices in human resources and change management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation. Proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic and commercially sound focused HR solutions. Proficient with HR policy, information systems and data compliance management. Passion for driving continuous improvement and enhancing the employee experience, whilst building the people and culture portfolio. Demonstrated commitment to organisational leadership and constructively deals with negative or unproductive interactions. Encourages integrity, backs leadership choices, and consistently cultivates a positive, respectful atmosphere that strengthens teamwork and reflects organisational values. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Team player with a 'can do' attitude and willingness to learn and provide team coverage across Safety to efficiently support the business.
