THE COMPANY Our client is an international Chartered Accounting (CA) award-winning firm specialising in providing diversified client-focused services.Due to increased business, their Brisbane office has a vacancy for a Senior Accountant in their Business Services division.Working directly with the Partners and a team of senior accounting professionals you will be responsible for a varied portfolio of interesting clients including listed companies and a variety of private companies.THE OPPORTUNITY Become a part of an award-winning international Chartered Accounting (CA) firm, renowned for its client-focused services and integrated team of specialists. The firm values its employees and fosters a supportive work environment, providing numerous benefits and overseas secondment opportunities.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Engage with a broad spectrum of local, national and international clients Uphold exceptional standards expected from a top 100 accounting firm Oversee and manage an independent client portfolio Craft financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and SMSFs Compiles FBT returns Generate a Business Activity Statements (BASs) and Instalment Activity Statements (IASs) Lead a team of accountants EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Hold a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Bachelor of Business (BBus) degree with a specialisation in accounting Demonstrate an extensive background with over 3 years hands-on experience in business services within an accounting firm Hold or be in the final stages of completing the Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification Exhibit exceptional communication skills, facilitating the establishment of enduring client relationships Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a larger engagement team THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Will enjoy working from prestigious Brisbane CBD offices Work with a team of specialists and a supportive executive leadership team Receive ongoing training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities Please note: This job is based in Australia therefore, only candidates who are Australian or NZ citizens and permanent residents of Australia will be considered.
