Foster’s Bakery is seeking an experienced Baker/Pastry Chef to join our team in Mermaid Beach, QLD. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and passionate baker to contribute to the success of our established bakery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods and pastries that delight our customers. What you’ll be doing Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods using traditional and innovative techniques Ensure the consistent quality, presentation, and freshness of all products Assist in the development of new recipes and product lines Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards Collaborate with the team to optimise production and workflow Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries as needed What we’re looking for Minimum 3 years of experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef, preferably in a commercial bakery or similar setting Proficient in a wide range of baking techniques and the production of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure efficient production Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays A passion for baking and a desire to learn and grow within the industry About us Fosters Bakery is a leading bakery in the Mermaid Beach area, known for our ‘old school’ high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service.
