Job Summary As a Senior Financial Accountant at HUB24, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring precise revenue recognition and compliance with AASB accounting standards, AFSL requirements, and statutory reporting obligations. This role is also focused on partnering with business divisions to deliver actionable analytical insights, empower informed decision‑making, and drive profitability across the group. You’ll be at the forefront of process improvement, identifying and implementing enhancements to our financial reporting and operational systems, leveraging digital tools and best practices. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring all financial activities are completed and reconciled. Drive continuous improvement in monthly reporting processes and systems, establishing best practice standards. Coordinate statutory accounts preparation for ASX and ASIC, and ensure compliance with AFSL requirements. Prepare tax return calculations and liaise with tax agents. Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions. Maintain and update financial systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Support statutory reporting, including half‑year reviews and annual audits. Prepare and review financial statements, regulatory lodgements, and balance‑sheet reconciliations. Partner with business units to deliver accurate reporting on improvement projects and fee revenue. Support automation and optimisation of financial processes using digital tools and analytics. Monitor legislative changes and ensure finance systems remain compliant. Requirements Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Flexible, agile, and improvement‑focused mindset. 5+ years’ experience in external reporting finance roles, ideally within listed ASX companies. Proven experience with AASB frameworks and ASX reporting. Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency; experience with ERP systems/tools. Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Ability to manage processes and coordinate across teams in a fast‑paced environment. Calm and considered approach under pressure.
