Position Profile We are seeking suitably experienced, motivated & innovative team members, with excellent interpersonal & organisational skills to join the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Pharmacy Services team. Responsibilities Regional Clinical Pharmacists assist in the promotion of safe, rational and cost effective drug therapy through the provision of clinical pharmacy services for hospital patients throughout the region. The services provided are to include but are not limited to completing the medication reconciliation process for admitted hospital patients, dispensing medications to patients, providing drug information to regional nursing and medical staff and making independent decisions on therapeutic strategies to optimise patient care. The Senior Pharmacists are responsible for delivering safe, effective and high quality care through the provision of virtual clinical pharmacy services for patients throughout WACHS. These services include but are not limited to virtual pharmacy for inpatients at WACHS sites without on‑site pharmacist support, virtual training and upskilling of junior pharmacists in the regions, pharmacist‑led virtual outpatient clinics in the areas of visiting specialists, pre‑admission, day infusions and palliative care. These positions will work closely with the WACHS‑wide Pharmacy Services team and regional pharmacy departments to ensure best practice and patient‑centric care is delivered utilising modern, innovative and technologically advanced services. Eligibility and Conditions Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments). Recruitment Pool The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2026.
