Job Details Full Time / Permanent Challenging and rewarding work environment Friendly and dynamic team About the Role An opportunity currently exists for an Allied Health Assistant to join the Physiotherapy team. This position is responsible for assisting physiotherapists to provide high quality clinical management of patients in the acute orthopaedic and neurosciences units at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. In particular, this incudes assisting patient mobility practice, supervising patient exercise and therapy across both individual and group sessions, and other duties as directed. Classification for this position will be IN29 ($31.65 per hour). Duties include Implementation of treatment as directed including exercises, mobility, ADL retraining and gait aid provision Accurate treatment monitoring and evaluation of patients programs and conditions Maintain effective communication with all team members including reporting back to the supervising physiotherapist regarding patient management and progress. Administration duties to assist in the daily operation of the Physiotherapy department.
