Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service – Mirrabooka WA The Derbarl Yerrigan Health Service (DYHS) was established in 1974 and is the largest Aboriginal community‑controlled health service provider in Western Australia, providing care to over 20,000 Aboriginal patients across four clinics in East Perth, Mirrabooka, Maddington and Midland. Our staff enable the delivery of culturally responsive primary health services, focusing on prevention, early intervention, comprehensive care and care coordination including chronic disease management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained throughout all internal areas of Derbarl Yerrigan Health Services premises. This is a Permanent Part‑time position at Mirrabooka Clinic and the applicant must be an Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander pursuant to section 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act. Responsibilities Clean staff toilets and surrounding areas daily, wipe down benches and refill soap and hand towel dispensers as required. Empty all bins daily, dispose of all boxes in accordance with the Tenant Obligation of recycling into allocated bins. Adhere to the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Legislation and to Infection Control Guidelines. Report any problems to the OH&S Representative and Cleaning Supervisor. Participate as a valued team member promoting and contributing to a supportive team environment. Other duties, within the scope of your training and experience as directed by DYHS managers and supervisors. Selection Criteria Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander pursuant to section 50D of the Equal Opportunity Act. Demonstrate a caring and supportive attitude. Considerable experience in being able to perform domestic duties efficiently and effectively. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions.
