Fleet Maintenance Manager

Fleet Maintenance Manager Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage the day-to-day maintenance operations for a busy multi-site fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and available for daily operations. Your focus will include: Overseeing servicing, repairs, inspections & roadworthiness Managing preventative maintenance schedules & minimising downtime Coordinating contractors across multiple sites Ensuring compliance with COR, NHVAS & WHS requirements Monitoring budgets, parts usage & maintenance expenditure Supporting fleet improvement initiatives & new technologies Providing clear communication to operations teams regarding vehicle availability This role is key to maintaining high operational standards while fostering a safety‑first culture. What We're Looking For Essential Experience: 5+ years in heavy vehicle or fleet maintenance Supervisory or coordinator experience (1‑2 years minimum) Strong understanding of COR, NHVAS & defect management Proven experience in a safety‑driven transport environment Solid technical knowledge of heavy vehicles & trailer systems Desired Skills & Knowledge: Experience across multi‑site fleet operations Familiarity with fleet management systems (e.g., MTData, Truckmate, CMMS) Budget monitoring & cost‑tracking capability Ability to interpret technical manuals, vehicle standards & regulatory guidelines Personal Qualities: Approachable, hands‑on leadership style Strong communicator who works well with drivers & operations teams High attention to compliance, detail & record‑keeping Calm under pressure and adaptable to urgent breakdowns or changing priorities Qualifications Essential: C‑Class licence (manual) HR/HC licence OR willingness to obtain COR & Fatigue Management training Desirable: Certificate IV Leadership & Management First Aid Exposure to NHVAS, PBS, or environmental certifications Why Apply?
