Commencing in 2026, the trial aims to connect our students, families and school community with services and supports to improve education and wellbeing outcomes. Our established partnerships extend student learning across many learning areas including performing arts (Performing Arts Academy), sports (Elite Sports Program), leadership and academics, and the New North Education Initiative. The Role We are seeking a Community Support Coordinator to join our Connected Community School trial team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a whole‑school approach that strengthens partnerships, builds positive community relationships and supports students and their families to improve student wellbeing, learning and life outcomes. As Community Support Coordinator, you will be able to develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with the school community, other government agencies and local community‑based organisations, with a key aspect of the position being to facilitate agreements and protocols with support agencies and employer organisations to assist students and families with accessing service providers. You will be committed to fostering high expectations and success for all students. The ideal candidate will be a driven and innovative individual, with strong interpersonal skills, a positive and caring attitude and be able to build rapport and trust with students, parents and the wider community. You will be organised, capable of working independently, and committed to working collaboratively. This is an opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to the implementation of this new initiative, and play a pivotal role in increasing the participation and engagement of students in educational programmes. This includes developing and implementing responsive intervention strategies, and support systems tailored to the needs of students, families and staff, as well being able to proactively identify opportunities for improved integration of services. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, case notes, data and reports and contribute to personalised plans that support evidence‑informed practice to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes, and contribute to trial evaluation. Demonstrated skills and experience in working in diverse settings with students and families with significant challenges and needs. Demonstrated well developed research, analytical and conceptual skills and an ability to identify and clarify issues and generate strategies to address them.
