We are seeking an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of supply chain and logistics operations across our growing retail network. Based at our Hillsdale factory , the successful applicant will plan, direct, and coordinate purchasing, storage, and distribution activities for all Christopher’s Cakes stores, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery of products across all 10 locations. About Us Christopher’s Cakes has been an iconic Sydney cake institution since 1955 , known for its traditional Greek and European desserts. The company now operates a network of 10 retail outlets across Sydney — including stores in Kogarah, Rockdale, Roselands, Miranda, Eastgardens, Bondi Junction, Burwood, Hurstville, and other locations — all supplied daily from our central production and distribution facility in Hillsdale . Our team produces, packages, and dispatches hundreds of orders daily to maintain freshness and quality across all retail sites and wholesale customers. About the Role Supply and Distribution Manager Title: Supply and Distribution Manager Company: PANAYI PROVIDORES PTY LTD - Panayi Retail Group Pty Ltd t/a Christopher’s Cakes Location: Hillsdale, NSW (Head Office and Central Factory Distribution Centre) Salary: $77,000 to 85,000 + Superannuation Employment Type: Full-Time Classification: Management – Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics Key Responsibilities Plan, organise, and manage the distribution of prepared and baked goods from the Hillsdale production facility to all 10 retail outlets across Sydney. Develop and implement purchasing, storage, and logistics strategies to ensure smooth retail operations. Negotiate supplier and freight contracts to meet delivery deadlines, quality, and cost objectives. Supervise inventory control systems and ensure optimal stock levels across all store locations. Oversee warehouse, packing, and delivery staff, ensuring compliance with food handling and safety standards. Coordinate logistics schedules and vehicle routing to optimise efficiency and minimise delivery costs. Liaise with production, finance, and retail managers to forecast demand, manage seasonal fluctuations, and resolve supply issues. Prepare operational reports analysing purchasing costs, delivery performance, and inventory metrics for management review. Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or supply chain management with 1 year work exp, or 5+ years’ relevant industry experience. Proven experience in multi-site supply chain coordination within a food, bakery, or FMCG environment. Strong understanding of inventory control, logistics, and vendor management. Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent delivery operations.
