The Team The team operates within the Department’s Corporate Services and Governance framework, supporting statewide health operations. Their primary focus is on data integrity, compliance, and auditing to ensure that health information systems meet legislative, policy, and security standards. This involves: Monitoring and auditing data processes across multiple health services. Ensuring compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with internal stakeholders (clinical, administrative, and IT teams) to maintain accurate reporting and performance metrics. Supporting risk management and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen governance and accountability. The Department values integrity, transparency, and excellence, and the team plays a critical role in safeguarding data quality and supporting informed decision-making across Tasmania’s health system. The Role Occupant of this role supports the Practice Manager in the management, interrogation, analysis and quality of Outpatient Services data, including: Activities to support the accurate capture of data at the source Analysing, auditing, reporting and disseminating data findings Compliance and educating the workforce on data capture requirements You will need to Assist the Practice Manager with the day-to-day management of the data integrity of the Outpatient Service, including the creation and monitoring of data quality standards. Engage and support staff to address data issues and promote best practices in data management Interpret and analyse data and statistical information to enable monitoring and improvement of Outpatient service delivery Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application. Details of appointment Permanent full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
