Position Title: Collections & Customer Service Officer Are you looking to kick-start your career in collections and debt recovery? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading, proudly local financial services business based in Geelong. In this full-time role, you’ll use your strong customer service experience and problem‑solving skills to engage with clients and address loan payment inquiries, particularly with a focus on overdue payments and related collections activities. Ideal candidates will have a proven history in customer service and enjoy a structured role with clear monthly targets. They will be supported by an experienced loan collections team, who will provide on‑the‑job training to maximise growth in the role and across the broader business. Responsibilities Communicating with clients regarding loan repayments and implementing appropriate solutions. Daily monitoring of payment dishonours, sending of arrears letters, and updating client account records. Participation in team tasks, such as lodging security caveats, skip tracing, checking PPSR details, and coordinating asset recovery efforts. Liaising with Mercantile Agents on active files and cases to enhance recovery success. Working with Auction Groups on asset valuations and sales for surrendered and repossessed goods. Preparing records for potential legal action. Ensuring internal systems, databases, and file records are consistently up to date. Qualifications A strong commitment to customer service and a clear, confident, and respectful communication style. A proactive and motivated approach. Ability to learn and adhere to established procedures. High attention to detail and sound time‑management skills. The ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Previous collections experience is not necessary, but equally respected if so. High computer literacy is essential.
